Brass bakhoor burner OEM: how to order under your brand

A manufacturer's guide for fragrance houses and gift brands ordering non-electric brass bakhoor and oud burners under their own name: design, metal and finish, engraving, gifting-season timing, samples, packaging and the GCC rules your brand owns.

The short answer

Send a reference burner or a drawing with the finish, engraving, packaging, quantity and delivery date you need, and approve a paid sample before production. Smartway CNC machines non-electric bakhoor and oud burners from solid brass and finishes them by hand; MOQ and lead time are quoted per order. Plan back from your Ramadan or Eid delivery date, and confirm the import route for your market with your customs broker.

1. Choose the burner

A mabkhara is judged on its shape before anything else. The published sample is a footed burner: an open bowl with a crown rim on a stepped foot, CNC-machined from brass. Your own shape, size or bowl can be made to your drawing or a reference piece.

Smartway makes non-electric burners only, used with charcoal or a separate heat source. We do not make electric burners.

  • Footed burner with an open bowl, like the published sample.
  • Your own design, made to a drawing or a reference burner.
  • Matching pieces for a range or a gift set: attar caps and collars machined to your bottle neck, and oud tongs.

2. Choose the metal, finish and engraving

Most fragrance brands choose solid brass for its weight and warm colour; stainless steel is also available. Every burner is finished by hand after machining.

Brass can be polished, antiqued or plated on request. Your logo or a pattern can be engraved on the bowl or the foot, which is how a burner carries your brand without a label. Check the weight, finish and engraving on the sample in your own hand.

3. Plan around the gifting season

Bakhoor burners sell most ahead of Ramadan and Eid, and as corporate gifts for national days (Saudi Arabia 23 September, UAE 2 December, Qatar 18 December). The delivery date is fixed, so plan back from it: allow time for the sample, its approval, production and freight.

Samples and dated gift orders can travel by air from Sialkot or Lahore; larger orders go by sea from Karachi to Jebel Ali or Dammam. Your forwarder confirms the transit time.

4. Send a brief and get a quote

Smartway CNC replies within one working day (Pakistan time) with feasibility, MOQ and lead time. There are no catalog prices: every project is quoted on its own specification.

  • A reference burner, a drawing, or photos with the height and bowl size.
  • Metal and finish: polished, antiqued or plated brass, or stainless steel.
  • Your logo or pattern, and where it goes.
  • Packaging: gift box or your own.
  • Quantity per design, your target market, and the date the goods must arrive.

5. Approve a sample, then the first run

Production starts only after you approve a sample made to your brief. The sample is charged at cost and credited against your first order, and the approved sample becomes the standard every batch is checked against.

MOQ and lead time for burners are quoted per order, because they depend on the design, finish, engraving and packaging.

6. Packaging and the box

A burner sold as a gift is judged in the box. A gift box is available on request, and custom packaging can be quoted with the burner.

For Saudi Arabia, mark the country of origin (Made in Pakistan) in Arabic and English, on the product or, if it is too small, on the pack. Your brand owns the claims and the use instructions on the box, including how to handle a hot burner and charcoal.

7. Know the rules your brand owns

Under private label, the brand owner or importer carries product-safety responsibility in the market where the burner is sold. Check these points with your own compliance adviser or customs broker before you launch:

  • Saudi Arabia: products without a SASO technical regulation need a self-declaration and a shipment certificate for each consignment through SABER, applied for by the importer. Confirm the HS code and route for your burner with your broker or an inspection body.
  • UAE: ECAS conformity applies to listed products, such as electrical items and food-contact goods. Check the current list for your product.
  • Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain broadly follow GSO standards, and Qatar runs its own conformity marking. Check with your broker.
  • EU: the General Product Safety Regulation (EU 2023/988) needs a responsible person established in the EU, which is your brand or your importer, never the overseas factory.
  • Out of scope: electric burners, and food-contact pieces such as a dallah, unless your brand brings the certification route.
  • Duty: tariffs change often. Get the current rate for your HS code from your customs broker before you price.

8. Check the goods before they ship

Each batch is inspected against the sample you approved. Your own or a third-party pre-shipment inspection is welcome, and a factory visit or a video walkthrough is available on request. NDAs are signed on request, and your design is not sold to other buyers.
